Geographic Features — Making Worlds
Our question
How do geographic features affect people—and how do people affect places?
Fieldnote — start here
RETRIEVE (2 minutes): observation, inference, geographic feature. Check, then use meanings in the existing source investigation. Open the B.2 student guide and slides. Examine the original New Visions desert photograph (slide 3). In your Fieldbook, record 3 things you SEE, 2 you THINK, and 1 question you WONDER.
Source — examine the evidence
Return & Revise — finish
Match six photographed features (slides 4–5), describe a visible clue and draw a symbol for each. Choose TWO features; predict one possible benefit and challenge for each, and explain how people might respond. Write a 4–6-sentence independent explanation in your Fieldbook using visible evidence and identifying what would need checking. If absent, complete the same work from the slides and guide. No new scheduled Quizlet homework today.
